hip circles : your practice
Before you begin, please watch the video to the left so that you know what this practice entails. While I have offered a few factors that can support this practice, please do not feel that you have to 'follow' these as such. Allow your hips to move and explore the range of movement & flow that they offer.
Allow yourself to move into this feminine embodiment practice, a practice of being, which drops you into the currents of sensation.
Play the song when you are ready to start. Begin by closing down your eyes, spend a few moments connecting to your breath & moving yourself into the present, into your body. When you are ready, begin to move your hips.

NON HABITUAL MOVEMENT
This is an invitation for you to move your body in whatever way, shape or form that it wants to move & express. Our body finds itself in patterns and shapes that can keep us in a place of constriction, tension and holding. It can also keep us from feeling the full capacity of our emotions. We also spend a lot of time in linear movements, yoga, gym workouts, typing at our desk. We don't allow the body to really explore, expand and feel the whole range of movement that it is able to do. When we do, we experience more of ourselves.
This practice offers the invitation to move outside of those habitual patterns of movements which impacts the mind and the habitual patterns we act and behave in.
There is no guidance, other than to keep your body moving, being conscious to each movement. Allow yourself to be intimate with your body, to really feel how your wrist moves, how your neck rolls and how your hips swirl.
As with any embodiment practice, stay aware of physical sensations within your body and move into and with those spaces. If you start to feel emotions rise, witness them moving through and if at any point you feel overwhelmed bring yourself into a space of resource.
