I have had a lot of wonderful feedback from the free resource I shared earlier this month - Empowered & Free: Your Toolkit To Transform Binge Eating and Body Shame.

I’ve decide to expand on this toolkit and bring a live element to you through the creation of this workshop.

IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL …

  • Experience a shame and blame free space and for you to understand why what you’ve tried so far isn’t working, why it is absolutely not your fault.

  • Learn why we have to go beyond mindset work and invite in the body and nervous system to create a path for connection and healing. 

  • Discover why inner safety is foundational for moving forward with a greater sense of trust and ease with your decisions around food and your relationship to your body. 

  • Explore a range of somatic practices that you can start to integrate into your life, so you can get started right away with finding more peace around food and more confidence in your body.

hEY, I’M ALEX …

I USED TO REALLY DISLIKE BEING ME.

I thought that there was something deeply wrong with me. I thought that everybody was better than me, more attractive and cooler than I was, I thought I was the only one with these crazy thoughts and obsessions about food and my body and  that they all had the secret answer , to a life of happiness that I was just unable to find.

On the outside, I was the responsible one, the supportive one, the brave one. the strong one.

Nobody knew the truth within, because from a very young age I’d learnt ‘how to hold it all together’, be strong and look like everything’s under control.

Through my early experiences, my nervous system was wired in a way that meant I did not have much capacity to be with intensity and I was unable to regulate myself (especially in a healthy and supportive way). And so, I developed an eating disorder, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, muscle weakness and chronic, unexplained pain within my body. Along with poor boundaries, people pleasing and perfectionism.

I walked through life with a lot of shame, guilt, numbness and disconnection and I tried EVERYTHING to try and make it better. 

Colonic irrigation, soup diets, paleO diets, keto, vegan, week long panchakarma retreat, chinese medicine, massage, meditation, affirmations, physiotherapy, intuitive eating, podcasts, workbooks, yoga and so much more … 

It wasn’t until I entered into the world of somatics and began learning about trauma, that my understanding of what I was experiencing was actually a very normal response to very abnormal experiences and situations.

I learnt that in fact, there was absolutely nothing wrong with me. 

I know what it feels like, to be living in a state of disconnection, stuckness and in a cycle of food patterns that perpetuates the dark, dull and isolating space in which shame exists. 

I know what it feels like, to come into connection with the layers of armouring and protection that have been built up within us, and return to a place that recognises our wholeness, enoughness and beauty so that we can live a life of love, freedom and aliveness. wholeness, enoughness and beauty so that we can live a life of love, freedom and aliveness.

And now I want to invite you into experiencing it too.
